Selling old gold treasures
My family heirlooms consist of quite a large assortment of jewelry, including some rather nice gold items. I’ve kept it all stored away for years though, as I do not wear jewelry much and worried about these being lost or stolen.
I finally decided to sell off some of these pieces when I learned of the high price of gold now days. At around $600 an ounce, I can sell old gold jewelry I treasure and maybe buy me something nice that will get used instead of stored.
Not knowing what to do next, I took the pieces to a jewelry store at the mall. The jeweler offered to weigh and appraise them for me free of charge. Now I just might go to the big electronics store next door next and purchase that big screen TV my husband has been ogling for several years.
