I’ve never been one who’s very good with finances. That much is something I certainly can’t deny. They help keep people in touch with each other when a phone is not available. Now my parents feel ok when they want to go out on a date or somewhere else they know they can leave us at home.

Plan how you are going to eat each day.  It is more than just Cutting Calories it is doing the cuts in a wise manner and in the right way.   You are much better off eating three planned meals a day than grazing through your landscape of life.  Grazing can get out of hand and let you lose track of what you are eating.  Just a little bit will not hurt is true if you keep track of the little bits that you are eating.  Limiting your eating to three times a day will help you keep track of what you eat and make it easier to reduce calories.

Sometimes living the Gospel can seem very confusing.  Genealogy, food storage, home teaching, visiting teaching, family home evening, date night, mutual, Scouts, service, etc.  Joseph Smith taught a beautiful doctrine that helps to remind us of the simplicity of LDS doctrine.  

There are four basic doctrines and ordinances.  Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.  These are the basic, simple doctrines.  Christ taught these doctrines.

 In his discussion with Nicodemus, Christ taught that all must be baptized in order to enter the kingdom of God.  But, what about the millions of God’s children who have never had the opportunity to hear these doctrines?  The answer lies in Latter-day Saint temples.  Faithful saints can go to the temple while wearing LDS Temple Clothing and inquire for their ancestors who did not have the opportunity to receive these doctrines in this life.  The ordinances, like baptism, are then performed for these deceased ancestors.  This gives these ancestors the opportunity to receive these ordinances in the next life, based on their agency. 

I’ve always had a fascination with working on cars, but never really learned a lot until my late 20s.
